I close my eyes and see immensity
The pains and torments of remembering
Rage corrupts me with such intensity
And vileness envelopes my whole being.
Suddenly the past hit me in a wave -
How the reason for my laughter was you.
The joys we had moved me farther from my grave.
I see a new person I moved into.
But reality dawned on me once more
As I recall the words you said to me.
You left my heart and soul profoundly sore.
And it's nothing but contempt that I see.
